DNN 3.1.1 was just released on 8/22/05 and now not even 3 months later we have 3.2 and 4.0.
What's DotNetNuke? It's the portal that my website is running on. Why 3.2 and 4.0? Microsoft has introduced ASP.Net 2.0 with significant changes. Version 3.2 is the next evolution of DotNetNuke running on ASP.net 1.1. DNN 4.0 represents the first ASP.net 2.0 release.
I'm not sure how they're running 2 open source project for different platforms but kudos to the core team for managing to provide both an update and an upgrade. I'm assuming 3rd parties will need to be updated for 4.0 so I may wait a little. Most of those guys are pretty quick. It's nice that it release on the same day as SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 as well.
