Gators 42, Golden Knights 0

The Florida Gators crushed my UCF Golden Knights 42-0 on Saturday in the Swamp. For those of you who don't know who UCF is, it's the University of Central Florida, our home town state school here in Orlando. That's where Daunte Culpepper and I both went to school. No not together. He followed me there.

We did manage to hold their 8th string pre-freshmen girls scoreless in the 4th quarter. Isn't that who colleges put in when they're up 42-0?

I think the Gators quit at 42 on purpose. There are a lot of dual UF/UCF fans in the greater Orlando area. Since they never played each other, their was no harm in cheering for both teams. Now, folks have to rethink that.

Perhaps we would be better as a team if we had a cool stadium name like "The Swamp". UCF currently plays in our downtown stadium, home of the Florida Citrus bowl, but they are building their own stadium on campus. With a name like the Golden Knights, what are you going to call it? Medeival Times? No that's a restaurant. The Joust? Too close to "jest. Magic Kingdom is already taken. Excalibur? Maybe. How about the Mark Polino Accounting Stadium. Heaven knows accounting scares most football players to death.

Sad week Mrk. Watched the forst half with alumni club members in Atlanta last night then went back to work (my Chick-fil-a) to take IceDream to my wife and her coworkers (pediatric RN at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta).

Last night was a poor add-on to Duante's debut loss against a motorcycle-rising-idiotless Pittsburgh.
