People leave North Korea and run to South Korea. People leave Cuba and come to Florida. And when we screw up and send them back, they come again. If Cuba is a worker's paradise, why does everyone want to leave?
Fifteen Cubans landed on the wrong bridge earlier this year. We screwed up and sent them back. Seven of them made the perilous journey again, this time, landing on the right bridge. By the way, our weird set of laws makes them legal immigrants.
People who cross the Florida Straits twice to reach the U.S. sound like the kind of immigrants we should welcome.
