Laziness Trashes Your Message

  • Payless' Buy One Get One Half Off promotion is simplified in their commercial as BOGO. Usually BOGO means buy one get one, as in free. Payless' promotion should actually be BOGOHO but I bet they thought that would be inappropriate and they were too lazy to come up with something better.

  • Radio traffic reports are often preceded by sponsorship. Something like "Today's traffic report has been brought to you by Bob's Furniture". But folks get lazy. What they actually say is "Traffic has been brought to you today by Bob's Furniture." When I hear that after spending an hour crawling at 5 mph for an hour I want to commit violence against Bob's furniture for bringing all this traffic. I certainly don't want to shop there.
