I broke down last week and bought the 9 hour battery for the Q1. There’s no picture on CDW’s website so we’ll see what it looks like. It’s supposed to be here today. I’m getting around 2hrs and 10 minutes out of the standard 3 hour battery, which seems to be typical. If the difference is linear, I should be able to get 6 hours out of the 9 hour battery. That’s enough for me.
On a related note, if you use a laptop, tablet pc or other portable PC, you need Notebook Hardware Control. This freeware app lets you monitor battery life, CPU and Hard Drive temp and a lot more. It can even shut down the machine if gets too hot. I’m using it on Binky the Q1 and really liking it.
