As I mentioned in this post Nebraska state senator Ernie Chambers is suing God. Apparently God has responded with a one page document which mysteriously appeared in the courthouse. God asks that the suit be thrown out due to a lack of proper summons by a deputy. Apparently, there were no volunteers. Additionally, God assured the good senator that he would not be back in office next year.
As the article noted, God has a sense of humor since term limits will end the senator's stay next year anyway. The article failed to note that the senator does not have a sense of humor and that in case, term limits are functioning exactly as intended. Perhaps they thought this was obvious.
